For the fourth year in a row, Nielsen was named the industry leader among media companies in JUST Capital’s and Forbes’s annual ranking of the “JUST 100”. Nielsen is ranked 47 in the top 50 America’s Most JUST Companies (up from #79 last year) and No. 1 in Media. The updated rank is a testament to our progress in the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) space and consistent efforts to create a nurturing culture for our employees and stakeholders.
Now in its fourth year, the “JUST 100” ranks America’s “most just” companies based on the issues that matter most to Americans, including themes such as worker well-being, community involvement and environmental sustainability. The JUST Capital rankings encompass the 1,000 largest publicly-traded companies in the U.S. on the 19 issues that matter most in defining just business behavior today. The issues—and their weights—are based on a comprehensive survey of public attitudes towards corporate behavior, involving 4,469 American respondents in 2020 and more than 110,000 over the past seven years.
“We are honored to be recognized for Nielsen’s dedicated efforts to be a responsible corporate citizen, for the fourth consecutive year, and especially excited to return to the top 50,” said Andrea Bertels, VP, Global Responsibility & Sustainability, Nielsen. “Nielsen is committed to continuing to act as a force for good in the communities where we live and work in around the world, delivering new and sustained value for all of our stakeholders, creating solutions for the world’s greatest social and environmental challenges.”
