D. SangeetaD. Sangeeta is the leader of Business Process Improvement initiatives for The Nielsen Company. In this role, Sangeeta works closely with all Nielsen’s functions including Global Business Services, Product Leadership, Client Services, Support functions and Nielsen clients to drive operational excellence and to ensure the alignment of processes, products and technologies with all client needs. Sangeeta reports to David Calhoun, Chairman and CEO, and is based in Covington, Kentucky.
Prior to Nielsen, Sangeeta spent more than18 years leading businesses, global operations, business process improvement, and research at both GE and Battelle. Sangeeta spent four years with Battelle, where she marketed to and conducted R&D for global industrial customers such as Motorola, Gillette, Libby Owens Ford, and Matsushita. Also, during her tenure at Battelle, Sangeeta received two patents for her research work. After Battelle, Sangeeta joined GE in their global research division followed by several years at GE Aviation in commercial roles. During her 14 years at GE, Sangeeta received 26 more patents for her research, some of which are implemented across GE businesses.
Sangeeta received a Masters in Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and a Ph.D. in Materials from University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign.
